This big-scale collectible kit celebrates one of the most memorable names in vintage drag racing and captures the bold look of Guasco’s legendary Pure Hell Dodge Funny Car.
This 1:16 scale funny car model kit will be molded in purple, white, and chrome and includes all-new decals to recreate the unmistakable Pure Hell racing graphics. The box art photo was taken by Ted Pappacena at the 1973 NHRA U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis Raceway Park, giving this release a direct connection to the golden age of funny car competition.
The Pure Hell name was already famous before the Dodge Demon funny car, beginning with Rich Guasco’s wild AA/Fuel Altered from the 1960s. In the early 1970s, Guasco brought that same name, attitude, and showmanship into the funny car era with a purple Dodge Demon-bodied AA/FC. The car became a striking part of drag racing history and is remembered for its powerful appearance, Pure Hell graphics, and connection to legendary drivers and events.
