Clearly this release is WAY LATE which is an understatement. We talked to ACME today, 05/08/2023 and was advised that the release has not been cancelled and we will see the replica but now it appears closer to the end of the year 2023. The new tooling process has created the delays which in the long run will be worth the wait. New updated tooling is always a good thing. You all know how nice the ACME products are but with that they are hit and miss on arrival times.
If you want to add the replica to your collection place your pre-order with us but we suggest that you not pay for your order until we get the cars in our hands.

This is another awesome release from ACME that will be a stunning add to any quality high end collection.
Driver Hubert Platt was on top of the drag racing world in 1969. Known for his on-track showmanship and cars lettered with his "Georgia Shaker" nickname, Platt had risen through the ranks, hitting the big-time in 1962 as a Chevrolet Z-11 teammate with "Dyno" Don Nicholson before going professional with a Ford Thunderbolt in 1964. That attracted Ford's attention, and in 1966 he landed a factory ride in a Holman-Moody built long-nose Mustang followed by a '67 427 Fairlane in the Super Stock class. In late 1968 when Ford decided to promote its drag racing clubs, not to mention the new Muscle Parts program, they brought in the popular Platt as part of a six-car Ford Drag Team.
